Southern IL Success

I should be sleeping. I should be exhausted. My voice is nearly gone, but I feel so buoyed up by my experience at Southern Illinois University here in Carbondale, IL. Speaking to the Sociology class was the highlight I think that and hanging out with ex-gay survivors Bob Painter and J.

The show went particularly well with a large turnout. The Daily Egyptian, the campus paper, printed a surprisingly accurate review by Sarah Lohman. (I say surprisingly because I have found most reviews get the details all mixed up.)

Okay, must get to bed. I fly out in the morning, and on the weekend I will be in Portland, ME with a group of very active Quaker teens.

Aw, anna harry potter, you don't have to do that just for me. But if you want to practice your English (yeah, like you need it!) go right ahead. :-)

Does mr Toscano have thing for my dear Buffy and Angel? He's just to good to be true. I think it would be more fair if men as handsome as he is at least could be booring and stupid.

Alex, I adore Buffy. In fact, it borders on worship. Who am I kidding? I do worship Buffy.

I do not worship Angel, but watched every episode, faithfully. It got a little nutty towards the end.

Of course I am also a HUGE Firefly/Serenity fan. Don't get me started!

Squirt on my Tartex, and man, I am in heaven. (Sorry, Jesus ;-)

Alex!
I know, this guy is to good to be true. Are we sure that he is for real? *LoL*

Peterson!
I have to get my hands on the Firefly/Serenity-DVDs, I´ve heard so much about it! And yes, Tartex is a religious experience. Should we found "the group of Tartexians"?

On an unrelated note: the comics arrived yesterday! They look great. Thanks for all your help, Peterson!

Just wanted to say thanks again for speaking to my class! I cannot believe what an impression you made upon them. (Most of my queer students came up to me later and were quite greatful to have you speak, as well.) The class still talks about your experiences occasionally, which makes me smile. On the negative side, though, you've done quite a disservice to other speakers that have come in since. My class now expects more than one character to speak!
PS- Noting, some of the previous comments...I too adore Joss Whedon and all his glorious works!

stacia, that is GREAT to hear. Glad they received me so well. I enjoyed the class immensely, even the tense moments. It all worked out in the end.

Ah, Josh Whedon, even so, come Wonder Woman!
